I just want to say how immense our away support has been this season. We have taken large numbers everywhere. We even nearly sold out Pompey away on a tues night in Feb.
We have sold out almost everywhere, a lot of places we have had to be given extra tickets. Not sure if anyone is going Walsall away? We got given 2,200 and they sold out in one afternoon, so we asked for another 800 tickets, and Walsall agreed. I couldn't get a ticket in the first wave, but did in the second on Friday. We have basically taken over all the local grounds this season, we have also taken large numbers to Plymouth, Peterborough, Southend etc etc.
It has helped, the fans (away in particular) have made a huge difference. For the first time in years the whole club is pulling in one direction, together. And the success should be shared out equally, the manager, the coaching staff (at ALL levels) and fans are all united.
we got told we would come down and lose our support, we would drop into League Two, the club would fall apart etc etc .......the exact opposite has happened. And it's been a real pleasure going to away games (and home, when folk stop moaning!!) this season and being part of it. And its not cheap.
