Also, there are always positives to be gleaned from a negative situation, life is not all doom and gloom, depending on how you live your life.
Once upon a time......I was offered the chance to do a course on Drystone Walling, initially, I wasn't interested, but I went on the course to make the numbers up.
I did however, enjoy the work, and I decided to go for my first level qualification.
This was undertaken on Earl of Scarborough's estate at Sandbeck.
I dismantled a section of wall, and rebuilt it within my allowed timescale. I thought it looked great, the chap assessing us for the test told me, " you've passed, just, but don't think about taking it up for a living"!.
What a kick up the rear end that was, " right, I will show you, was my reply.
Within 3 years, I had attained my Master Craftsmanship in this craft and was at the top of my trade.
I met this chap who had advised me not to take the craft up for a living. I tapped the guy on the shoulder and asked him if he remembered me, he did.
I thanked him for giving me the incentive, and drive to make the craft my career.
I went on to be Derbyshire Branch Champion twice, Derbyshire Gritstone Champion 3 years in succession, Derbyshire Professional Pairs Champion and Cotswold Champion.
My trade has brought me private meetings with Royalty, some very iconic jobs, a reputation for quality and a great career which I'm still doing now.
My message to you is this, never be put off by people saying you can't do this, you can't do that.
You can do, or be whatever you want if you have the focus and determination.
Take a knock back as inspiration for your next venture.
There is something for everyone workwise, set your goal and go for it.
Always walk forward into the sunshine, and never look back into the shadows.
If you want to achieve, you can achieve, it's down to you, go out and grab it.
I used to think like that stone when I was 14 I was placed at Dearne valley catering collage as a talented young individual a year in i was ill and was told I’d be a health and safety risk. At 17 I went to went to RCAT to study graphics and art and design after 3 months of seizers my hands couldn’t even hold a pencil straight (iv never stopped them from shaking) a year before graduation I was kicked off and told I was kidding myself. So I took job after job all ending the same way.

Some may employ people like me but I’m not a black man living in 50s America looking for someone to serve me a drink.
I have been to interviews where with my qualifications outshone my opposition by a mile and their attitude were bad still because I put my illness down on paper when they asked the donut got the job and I got the door.

I now know no one will employ me so I must work for myself, however it sickens me that people are treated so badly because they are different and being politically correct don’t stop them from thinking stuff and lying about it later.

Btw I hope your op goes ok frog and you can get your ass to nys next year

If you do contact a law solicitor, they should let you briefly outline your case in a quick 5 minute chat, and then advise you whether it is worth your time, and money to have them take up your case, if you have substantial grounds.
    Obviously, your choice.
In the meantime, best of luck.

I haven't read the rest of the thread yet so this may have already been said, just wanted to clarify before I read the rest and forgot

By law, you are entitled to an hours free consultation with any solicitor. My advice would be to go see a few and gain advice on what to do next

I'm also sorry that you have to deal with sh1tty employers. Find yourself a good company who won't discriminate you over an illness. One of the few good things to come out of this growing PC world is that it is more and more common to come across good employers that will look after you

Just read the rest of the thread regarding your chances on being successful, I would see a reputable company such as Irwin Mitchell who specialise in these sort of cases. It may even be worth taking to social media and even contacting news outlets such as the Daily Mail, The Guardian even the Star or Advertiser. Anything that gives the company bad publicity can only be good for you
