I'm inclined to say yes. Pay as you play till the end of the season, no chance of an extension because it will inevitably go wrong at some point, but a chance to score a few goals and put himself in the shop window between now and May.
Get him lodging with Smith or Nolan (didn't he take Andy Carroll under his wing to keep him off the ale?), get him eating the right food, zero tolerance, if he turns up two minutes late for training on the first day he's out the door without ever putting a Notts shirt on, if that means it was a waste of everyone's time then so be it.
If handled correctly this could be mutually beneficial.

The two games a week bit might be a little ambitious. He'll play a couple of times then be out for a month with a niggling injury picked up because he hasn't been fit.
I'd like him to turn it round to be honest. He was treated awfully at Blackpool before he came to us. He had a good relationship with the fans here and he wasn't the monster the media make him out to be, played with a smile on his face and always had time with the supporters especially the kids. It did look for a while like it was going to work out.
I just can't see him ever changing - he has made a lot of bad choices in life, he makes endless comments about changing his ways but he's like the fat bloke at work who's always paying for Weigh****chers, obsessed with calorie counts etc but you'll see him every lunchtime scoffing a doughnut.
Instead of some on here moralising why not give Nolan chance to make the choice without the criticism. It's his job and he may feel with players with the experience we have at Notts he can turn him around. What have we lost,if he steps out of line then the gaffer will get rid.
He said none on the list - ie the transfer window list - are being pursued, he didn't say no-one is being pursued.
