On a day to day contract basis one strike (I dont mean goal) and out.

How much of a problem was Hughsey on the footballing side? One (ok very bad) mistake and he was a bit of a lad - this one seems a bad'un and KN's got enough on his plate without having special needs to attend to.

According to TransferMarkt he's got:
44 Championship appearances, 4 goals and 2 assists (not great)
76 League One appearances, 20 goals and 5 assists (not great either but we've had much worse)
Could work I suppose, given the Nolan connection and dropping down a level. He doesn't sound like a paragon of professionalism so doubt he'd be fit for a couple of weeks at least.
If the alternative is signing nobody then we may as well get him in, he'll probably do something stupid before long anyway if we need to sack him on the cheap.

A tough one as he just seems a wrong un and one that will never learn.
I guess it’s whether it’s worth giving him a chance until the end of the season to see if he really wants to be a professional footballer?
