O/T Why do they do it

What is the purpose of breakfast news programmes saying

Here's so & so with news of the weather
So & so then says it's getting colder but more of that in 15 minutes
What is the bloody point ? apart from trying to annoy us [& succeeding]

Country File is the same. Always telling you what's happening later on in the programme and then not showing topics in full and flicking between them.

If that's the case I'd rather they spent our licence money on better more concise content.

I’d rather they just abolished the license fee

The goverment here in Cyprus tried to introduce a TV licence some years back, the people refused to pay so they had to scrap it.
    Same with speed cameras.
Charging for a TV licence seems quite outdated now given the choice available. I wouldn't mind but it is ment to be ad free, they spend as much time advertising their own products.
