Notts County manager Kevin Nolan is looking to make a shock move for former loyal club servant Mark Stallard, 43 and put him back in League Two.

The experienced Striker is currently tied up with BBC Radio Nottingham in a commentary role and is generally the butt of many a joke by the media team for being old, which Nolan thinks will be enough to land the model professional who scored 66 goals in 185 appearances for the Magpies. One of his most memorable goals coming in the 4-2 defeat by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the league cup in 2003.

AH walked up to our reporter and made himself known whilst noticeably jumping up and down in excitement chewing on a roast potato and commented “Well the fans are going to be in for a tweet regarding this one. His presence in the commentary box alone will be enough to win us the league two title.”

I heard he's run out of fuel so he can't land until he gets some more.

Reminds me a little bit of a great line by newsreader Kent Brockman in The Simpsons:

"In other news, Thomas Edison, the greatest inventor of all time, is still inventing, despite the notable handicap of being dead!"
