Breaking: Alan Hardy spotted doing the Hughesy in his office at Notts. Could be a sign?
Notts County manager Kevin Nolan is making a shock move to take much-travelled Lee Hughes on a short-term contract – and put the striker back in League Two.
Nolan is desperate to land a new forward and his surprisingly turned to Hughes, the 41-year-old hit man who is not still scoring goals but is available for sale.
George Burley was thought to be the brains behind the deal.

It is also rumoured that the Magpies are hoping to tempt Tommy Johnson out of retirement. The 47 year-old will add some much needed pace to the attack.
Promotion would be a mere formality if we could tempt Vinny 'Goal machine' Atkins back.
In a change of tactics, manager Nolan has re-signed former striker Tommy Lawton in the hope that the aged forward can ghost in behind the current strike force thus shocking the opposition and creating goals from nowhere.
Nah itd cost us too much to drag him away from Worcester City, he's actually doing a decent player manager job there.
(don't look at Long Eaton)
