    Soft Foreigners

The Preston boss O'Niel has accused the foreign players at Wolves of going down too easy. Nuno has this week appealed for referees to clamp down on some of the reckless tackles imposed on his team. As supporters we have witnessed some brutal assualts on our players in a bid to soften them up. How players like Jota and Neves have escaped serious injury, is testament to the backroom staff.

Now this week the E&S have stated that there have been ten Red cards awarded to opposition teams this season. The proof of the pudding is in the eating.

In years past when the roles have been reversed and we have played against a better footballing team there's always been an expectation that we should get stuck in and break up their play, this doesn't actually apply solely to Wolves it applies to any side in the same situation. We currently have technically gifted and pacey players who are capable of hurting any side in the championship and probably a few in the premier... unfortunately this means that they are going to get kicked up in the air on a regular basis... 10 red cards is testament to that... It's not easy to watch when it's your players but its the nature of the league we are in?

O'Neil looks like a thug, behaves like a thug and .......

Preston have the worst disciplinary record in the Championship and you can see why if they are encouraged by a thug.

Personally I'd quite happy if Preston finish no higher than 7th - its all they deserve.

I always find it amusing with the line "soft foreigners", British players have mastered the are of going easy for years now. What we have to remember is it's not the players who give the decisions, it's the referee. Some challenges are let go by the official and rightly so, but some that are missed, could one day end up with a player getting seriously injured. I hope it's not a Wolves player that this happens to.

The Preston boss is Alex Neil, former manager of Norwich City, both games this season his side have got stuck in, committed numerous fouls, but again it needs a strong ref to deal with challenges.
