    Doesn’t seem that there was much point in taking it off him in the first place if it was only to be for one game. What sort of reprimand is that?

    Agree, there didn't appear to be any point in taking the captaincy off Evans for just one game but if it adds to team stability by giving it back to him, I'm in favour.

    I suppose it depends on the team Pardew is picking there aren't that many other candidates.

    To my mind Dawson is a future captain; that's if we can hold onto him if relegated!

    Rumour going round that Pardew sent the taxi four home from training and told them not to report in for a couple of days, there was a sudden uproar with all the rest of the squad shouting out "we were their passengers"

    Everything thats wrong with the modern game. A player that doesn't want to be here, a drunk, a thief, someone who will be gone as soon as he Captains us into the championship.
    What message does that give to the likes of Mozza and Brunt?

    I would have had him training with the kids until someone bought him.
    Weak management imo.
