    Mick McCarthy

After the defeat tonight against Cardiff City at home, the bell seems to be tolling for big Mick McCarthy for when he loses the managers job at Ipswich Town.
Do the club pull the plug now on McCarthy, or wait until the season's end when his contract is up, & finding a replacement during the summer months.
McCarthy has worked on a low budget at Ipswich Town, where he couldn't compete with the bigger clubs with their financial clout.
It looked possible that McCarthy could have taken the reins at Barnsley, but now that vacancy has been filled, so with Ipswich not seeming to want to offer another contract to McCarthy, he will be looking for future employment.

Ipswich Town supporters had a vote on,
[1] whether big Mick loved himself more than the club. [ result 75% votes ]
    [2] Loved Ipswich [ result 24% votes ]
    [3] Don't know [ result 1% ]

So the majority of the fans have shown their feelings.
Looking at Mick McCarthy he will keep going to the end of his contract, with not being a quitter, unless the Ipswich
board decide to pull the carpet from beneath his feet earlier.

Always liked him, potential future manager.

Not sure what they expect tbh. I'd say they're achieving adequately, given their relatively modest financial output. Mid table is probably the best they should hope for. The championship is now awash with big clubs with big bucks and ipswich are not really one of them anymore. Mccarthy has done well to keep them away from danger up to now.

I would say confident rather than arrogant. He is a highly competent manager who has proved himself so no problem with him being confident. He is a bluff Yorkshireman and knows when others are talking carp. Most fans talk carp - Ipswich are very lucky to have him otherwise it would be league 1 by now - look what happened at Wolves when they sacked him - two relegations and only just getting back where they were with him.
Carry on Mick - ignore the fans - they know nothing.

Think what will happen is Mick will get the boot at town be out of a job for a while.Maybe he will take a break . This guy Barnsley have appointed will take them into lg 1 fail and get the boot, leaving the way clear for Big Mick to slide in and take up the job around February next year.

Not a cat in hell's chance Mick will come to Oakwell and work under the way the club operates .

A bloke with a career in baseball telling him who he can recruit and who he can't , never going to happen .

The Head Of Recruitment managed to pyss off a former season ticket holder , ex player and two Wembley wins behind him inside 6 weeks .

Mick Mac wouldn't even pick up the phone to answer the current Bfc .
