Chien's other club OGC Nice gives us our only example of the life of a football club under Chien two or three years down the line.

There is wunna them tweet things from a Nice fan on BBS lamenting the fact that Chien ent put any brass into the football side of things there, He ez run the club on transfer income and, this season, on Champions League income.
Nice ev lost ageean this afternooin, this time in the second leg of The Round of 32 in the Europa Cup at Locomotiv Moscow going out 4-2 on aggregate, this after crashing out of the Champions League at the Group Stage.
It means Chien has lost a minimum of £17 million in income which he has used to pay his big earners.

It will be interesting to see what happens at Nice this summer as a marker to what may happen here as regards investing in the football side of things.
