When I say U18 team it war different to the one we see today .

It was set up to give lads another chance who were released by other clubs and see if any late bloomers could be unearthed .

I think Adie Moses came through George's team , could be wrong mind .

Sometimes they were short because none of the lads were officially signed to the club they were all trialists in affect and you'd get young Dave Watson playing up front or Nicky Eaden in goal !!! .

Trained on a night pass during the week , I went darn with him many times when I was close to packing in playing missen and watched him coaching the lads and to get a handle on it because I wanted to dabble a bit missen .

Joined in a few five a side games etc etc , got lumps kicked art a mi from some of the young bucks , bleedahs some on em !!!

Talked for hours wi George over a pint or two and he dint half learn me some stuff abart tactics and things , amazing knowledge of the game .
