    Sensible decision by SYP?

First time we have been held back after the game going past the police station to get to Masbro area for our cars etc. You could see the coppers taking the donny fans to the station with a police horse escort. I dont think scenes would have been very nice if we had walked straight into them coming out of new york way. It does make sense to keep em in the ground 10 mins (particularly given the last min winner)and the problems wouldnt have arisen. No thanks though to nob head millers fans who were winding donny fans up and pushing over fences to get to them after the game this just made the situation worse. Probably the same morons who were winding them up on dee dar during the week.

Dont you think that police line could have been 20ft further towards the police station though so home fans could walk down the side and over the bridge to tescos car park???? Donny fans allowed to walk down and through our fans which could have led to trouble. one rule for one and one for another :-(

Could've always walked down Corporation street, it's only slightly further.

Emotions were running off the scale after the match, even mine and I'm usually quite calm whatever the situation.

I think SYP did the right thing because it could've been carnage.

Should have kept them in for 10 minutes, that would have been safer, if it's against Human Rights legislation then hopefully that will change when we leave the EU or shortly afterwards.

What I want to know is why your derby games can kick off at 3pm on a saturday afternoon and all ours are at 12.30pm and away fans restricted to 4k .

Wasn’t that because Sheffield United was playing at home while you was playing Wednesday and the police helicopter had to fly over both games

    Very sensible, but ...

We can be held back 10 minutes in the street but they can't be held back 10 mins in the ground or at least the lower car park

It is so wrong to hold the home fans back. Why the feck don't syp see this. Oh yes thats right because its the god damned awful south Yorkshire Police force ( used in the loosest possible term ) more like farce.

We were at home, at Villa Park we were held back till Villa fans were clear of the ground, our fans should have been cleared first, total cr*p stopping people going the right of way past the cop shop to car parks, goes back to big brother & the Miners strike, Thatcherism to the extreme.
