that's harsh 59/60.....we do have an extremely good defence and goal - though I do agree with you - that mostly otherwise - we are indeed"sh1te"....lucky most of the others are too - I guess.

I can only assume that a lot of you are very recent converts to watching the Clarets, because this is the highest we have been since the early 70's.
If not, then you must have been a real barrel of laughs in the 80's, 90's and 00's.
We are above every other team in England ??? Really...Since when?...
I HAVE watched the Clarets lose 0-6 against Hereford,...and some dreadful away days also....Yes we are doing well , But it is still Dire to watch.

So Norder, if you supported any team outside the top six then you would say they were "sh1te"?

I really think a lot of peoples expectations are way too high.

I am really looking forwards to next season when we have our big players back, and a couple more decent signings.

I think we become really ****e after we score. We seem to go completely into our shell, drop deep and invite the opposition to try and break us down.
Our creative players are injured and it is really showing as we have no one who can open up defences.I have said it a number of times and others have also that Hendrick is not PL standard.I am completely happy with the point because if it wasn`t for Pope we would have lost that game.

Perhaps I worded it wrong, but, apart from the big six, we are above every other team in the land (please read the first line which I wrote).

No complaints from me. Once we have our big players back you will see the difference.

We are Burnley, and we simply can't afford to have the quality players missing that we have had recently.

We need to cut the team a lot of slack.

It was a barrel of laughs 59, freezing my bollox off at Grimsby losing 6-5 or whatever it was, along with many more 3rd and 4th Division games that I travelled to with no hope of getting anything more than frost bite, I did it for love of my Club and still spouted my views, so enough of your nonsense.

As I keep saying, if you and everyone else are happy and content to be in the top 10 then good luck to you and I'm happy for you, but I'm not, not with Millions being banked and very little being spent on the team, a team that has dished up dross in approx. 50% of its games, and without proper care and attention will sink back to the lower divisions pretty soon if its not addressed.

Alto, would you be happy if our starting lineup was,

    Heaton
    Lowton, Mee, Tarkowski, Ward
    Lennon, Defour, Cork, Brady, JBG
    Wood

Because, once they are all fit, I reckon that is our best eleven.

And I reckon we will get another two good signings in before next season. Who would you replace, and with whom?

I would not have believed it possible that Burnley could have put a team out with that quality during the last 45 years.

Mind you, we were spoiled by being lucky enough to see the Clarets in their pomp in the 60's!

Its a quality team you have put up 59, but as I have mentioned before (apart from Lennon) that team still put in some poor performances when all together (along with some good), I say a quality team but still not outstanding PL players, maybe for some but not for me, as for who I'd get to replace I'm not going over the last (at least) 3 transfer windows to say who we missed or should have got, but there have been a few.

I'm not reaching for the world or have been spoiled with our good start (which has gone to pot), I don't mind if we get hammered once in a while as long as we give a good account of ourselves, you have to admit we don't press as much as we used to, we cannot buy a goal and pray (I do) that we score during a game, the long ball technique is not working yet keeps being used, Hendrick is not functioning and is the main weak link, Dyche is too rigid in his thinking and needs to alter his negative ways.

Alto, when we had that team (apart from Pope for Heaton and Hendrick for Lennon) we were really flying.

Our record was Played 17, Won 9, Drawn 4, Lost 4, Points 31.

Then, one by one (starting with Brady) injuries really kicked in.

We are not a big enough club to take injuries to six key players and for it to be business as usual.

Things have never been better at Turf Moor for decades - and I agree with you that we will have even better times to come.
