    Home form

Queens currently sit 3rd bottom of the home form table above only dumbarton and brechin

Either its the fact that thè pitch is not good enough for this level every player criticises it all the managers criticises it u can see the ball doesnt move well on it most weeks which could contibute to the shocking style of play at times

Or its the players fanny arsing about when travelling down to palmerston in there cars together

either way something has to change quickly cause the more we play like this the less and less people will come to the games u wont get the younger fans coming week in week out in the futiure if they dont start at a young age and to get them through they need tobe watvhing decnt football the only way to rectify this is either redo the pitch to grass or start getting all the players travelling down on a bus all together

I’d like to see the pitch ripped up and Queens returning to playing on grass. Fully understand we make money from it but it’s getting used less as these pitches only have a life expectancy of approx 5 years and then they’ll need replaced. We’re lucky enough to have extra finance being generated from the Arena. I thinks it’s time to change back

Reply: I might be mistaken but I think they are upgrading to a better quality hybrid surface.
Personally I think that teams approach games on artificial surfaces like ours in the wrong way. It is perhaps ingrained into them to play a "grass" style game on all surfaces rather than adapt to the surface and play it more like you would say an indoor sixes game with the ball kept on the deck with passing and running. Admittedly that is a far harder style to play and maintain over 90 minutes so lumping the ball forward becomes the easy option if your fitness and technical ability are suspect.

This may well be the case. There are a few clubs opting for the hybrid surface now.
