He was only successful so I understand the bitterness.

We didn't appoint him to be a nice man. We appointed him to win football matches and he did that very well.
His tenure is firmly etched in our history and I would imagine that our passage through the playoffs has just become considerably more difficult
Good luck to him for rest of the season , except when we play the Posh - obviously!
Grist time to move on with Ronnie aswell him and rufc are history
Some posh fans don't want him as manager but when they start winning it will all change
Welovebooth, I agree with what you say about Ronnie but I'd love him to get to 1000 matches as a manager. It would be great if he aplied and got the managers job at Mansfield although I reckon that tey may make an approach for Richie Barker
I think that's a fallacy. Adrian Durham of Talk Sport printed an interview with Steve Evans where part of the article included a quote from Ben Pringle. Pringle stated that Evans was hard but fair and the fact that Pringle made of point of going across to Evans and hugging him when Fulham played Leeds speaks volumes.
Evans wanted players to listen. If they didn't he would crush there spirit until they did what was expected or went to bury.. He was a old school manager who ruled by fear.
Alex Ferguson was the same. Though both are winners which non of us can disagree with.
I'm guessing non of us would/could work under such regime though he deff got the best out of what he had.
