It would appear to me we have been royally stitched up over this fixture ?
Northampton away and Southend away gives us three away matches in little over a week, with hour and hours of travelling, not conducive of performing to your best.
Who has agreed to this on our behalf ? Did we have to agree to this date ? Or could we have said” No thank you” I thought these matches had to be arranged at the earliest possible free date? MK Dons had no mid week match this week or next week and would have been much better for us !

The club ought to do a miles credit scheme. A free programme at a home match for every 200 miles or something.

I seem to remember a snowy game at Southend 4/5 years ago - evening game, maybe even a Friday for some reason - where the trudge across the car park was flippin dangerous! Rewarded by a free ticket though as a neutral (a real football ‘traveller’) had one spare. I think there were 43 of us...or am I getting that mixed up with a Gillingham match..?

I'm fortunate I only have to travel 2hrs 15mins to MK Dons
Lovely ground, as Yak said comfy seats...padded one's . The concourse is good as well, plenty of room.
Only takes me 2hrs to get to Sixfields, not a favourite ground of mine & we stay out of Northampton for a meal & a drink.
Southend will take us 3hrs 45mins approx.
This one's a bonus for us as it's usually been played on a Friday night
