    OT your matchday footwear

Yes, no game this weekend therefore meaningless threads like this one.
What do you wear on your plates of meat on a matchday? Adidas trainers are incredibly popular with football fans in this country and I am an Adidas freak and have been since my ****s, so personally wouldn't wear anything else.

Once went on a survival course, bloke there (ex military) had this advice about keeping feet warm.

    1. wear cotton based socks next to skin
    2. Put a plastic bag over the socked foot
    3. Put a wool based sock over the plastic bag.
    4. Avoid socks made from man made fibres

This triple layer system does work, I've tried it.

Bloody hell, that's a bit extreme for a football match.
Did he tell you to drink your own urine rather than the beer from the catering units? Same difference really 😀

Well the Russians in WW2 wore felt boots which worked very well compared to the Germans who wore regular army boots which weren't very effective in the extreme low temperatures.

Don't see felt boots on sale though anywhere.

Further up the body, the Inuits wear furs which are more effective than man-made fibres.

Those £750 Canada Goose parkas have goose feathers in of course but you can get down jackets for a lot cheaper, I got one for £75 in the sale, best time to buy is in the Spring of course.
