Be careful what you wish for

Have just spent a sweet 30 minutes looking at Fowlstalk. The club is in turmoil - even the fans are scrapping amongst themselves. Everyone - players, manager, chairman is getting grief. Sadly, they probably won't drop down as the bottom 3 are rank.
Compare and contrast their situation with what's happening at NYS. We 'Toytowners' have plenty to be pleased with; an almost certain play-off position, a young manager who is proving himself more than capable of spotting talent and motivating his team, and a chairman who is local and has given us a ground to be proud of. Stability has a lot to recommend itself.

I would fancy our chances against all the yorkshire teams at the moment. Pity we aren't in the same league yet to test that out.

They sounded pretty depressed on Radio DeeDah's "Grumble or More Grumble" tonight... except for one caller who was completely bonkers, and was soon cut off by the presenter. Even the Radio DeeDah presenters were asking - could it be time for Jos to go? He's only been there a few weeks!

That observation could also be aimed at the owners of Birmingham City.
Sacked Gary Rowett because they were only 6th or so.
Four Manager's later they sack Cotterill tonight and are heading for div 1

Didn't turn up for the play off final against Hull , win that which to be fair wasn't beyond them and it changes the whole scenario .

You can't lose play off finals , you get the opportunity and you have to make it count .

We lost the 2000 play off final against Ipswich Town under a manager at the time who given his history would have had us competitive in the PL .

We've never got that close since and it's fair to say we probably never will .

I look at Burnley , Bournemouth , Watford etc etc and that could easily be us .

A missed penalty bang on half time in a play off final changed our history possibly for good .

Fine margins and wendy are facing the consequences of losing play off games .

Gary Rowett's sacking at Birmingham was a big mistake, the club has gone down hill since.

But the sacking of Rowett when in the top six brings to mind the Millers sacking Ronnie Moore, after a 5 - 0 defeat at Chesterfield who were the league leaders, & Ronnie Moore had the Millers in the top six.

Cotterill said to be on £450,000 a year, with 2 years left on his contract, so a hefty package deal in the pipeline.

Gary Monk seems to be in for the hot seat.

They may have put a clause in his contract that says something like if BCFC are in relegation spot in March we can sack you and you'll get nowt.
Cotterill was unemployed so I doubt if he'd have challenged that type of clause being put into his contract

Rumours going round that some of the players aren't injured and it's because if they play another game it triggers contract extensions.
