Congrats to both Popeye and Tarka on their call up to the England team.. Unlucky for Ben Mee ,but I'm sure his time will come soon..

Pity he didn't think outside of the box and picked Tarks AND Mee.

Their combination in central defence is worth more than the sum of their parts.

This could have been Englands' central defence sorted for the next five years.

Can any other team boast that in the last few years they have had TEN full English internationals on their books? With five of them currently in our first team squad.
(If Tarks and Pope actually play)

    Heaton
    Pope
    Keane
    Tarks
    Cork
    Ings
    Austin
    JayRod
    Lennon
    Robinson

We could only dream about this ten years ago.

My biggest concern is how well will Tarks perform at international level without his regular partners nor as part of the 'rigid every man has/knows his task' in any situation that SD drills into them? Michael Keane looked good until he lost those going to Everton.

Yes well done and unlucky for Ben Mee but What has Jack done to miss out? ok I’m greedy.

Brentford expecting to get an add on of £500k for Tarks and another lot if he plays.

    Does Cahill count?
We would have had Wilshere but for Coyle taking him to Bolton.

    How could I forget Tripps!

That's ELEVEN then. (Not including Cahill, who was on loan here).

In fact, if Barnes gets called up for Austria I think only Lowton and Westwood will not be full internationals of our main first teamers.

    Give them time!
