    Wolves Transfer Dealings

It seems there are quite a few unnamed championship sides unhappy with the way Wolves have managed to sign players this season. The basis for the rivals’ complaint is that the money spent does not match up to the quality of the incoming player.

I can ask those that reply to posts on here, how many of the players signed or brought in loan have we heard of? i'll be honest, Boly, Jota, Miranda and Neves i'd never heard of. All those players have come and decided to play in the championship instead of being bit part players at their former or current club, if on loan.

The questions really for me is with those doing the complaining, is it jealousy?, or is they don't have a decent scouting network?

In the link below is one that's being covered by quite a few newspapers, the only real quotes are from an unnamed "official" of a club.

    I read it earlier.

It stinks of jealousy even though the season hasn't ended yet.

I'd bet one or the first major complaints was lodged in the South Wales area.

    Ridiculous.

Villa chief executive Keith Wyness has also been vocal about Wolves transfer dealings a few times this season. I take it seems to have forget how much they spent in the first season back in the championship!

The Leeds owner has been very vocal since last Wednesday's defeat to Wolves. Sour grapes if you ask me.

Didn't Leicester and Watford do the same thing in recent years, perhaps not directly through the same agent, but they invested a lot on foreign 'unknowns' and gained promotion... why is it suddenly an issue now? Is the implication that because these players are on Mendes' books, Fosun have an interest in his business, therefore the players are paid at a reduced rate? I doubt it, who would accept that as an employee?

Actually Ive read the article now... The issue appears to be that we have loaned players with a buy option... whats stopping them from doing the same?

This is getting ridiculous, and my own club are not helping matters. Maybe our involvement is just a case of some inter-Chinese power type rivalry akin to siblings at the dinner table complaining that he’s got more chips on his plate than me jealousy.

The EFL cleared you lads at the beginning of all this, so, you’ve done nothing but abide by rules laid down by the league’s governing body.
It matters not that certain players arrived on deals for a fraction of what they were offered to other clubs for. The EFL gave you the green light to do so, any fault lies with them.

And I think that here is where the problem lies, the EFL.
Their rules, their governance. their decision.
And if there is any discrepancy uncovered, then it is the EFL who should answer.
Wolves cannot be punished for playing it to the letter of the law, any punishment now would be ‘moving the goalposts’.

AS for the agent, he’s no more unscruplious than any other agent in the world, nowt said about Pogba and Jose sharing the same agent. But ‘little auld Wolves’, how bloody dare they?

This whole saga is both embarrassing and boring.

A good read in the link above regarding Wolves and the attacks on the club recently.

    Jealousy, clutching at straws.

Also quite ironic Leeds giving it the big one.

EFL Approves Wolves Link With Mendes

Well quite a few of the moaners, especially the Leeds owner and Aston Villa's Keith Wyness can now moan as much as they like, Wolves are in the clear.
