Sir Roger Banister and Davide Astori

Not football related but I thought should be mentioned.

Has died this morning at 88, one of the houses in my school is named after him and he's been into the school on several occasions for prize evenings and presentations. A really lovely bloke who will be sadly missed.

R.I.P Sir Roger, my thoughts are with his wife and family.

Also just seen that Davide Astori - the Fiorentina captain has also died after a short, sudden illness.

A sad sunday for sport today.

    Aye, sad indeed.

    RIP

The image of Bannister almost collapsing over the line as he finished the first sub-4 minute mile is iconic.

That picture is beautiful. RIP for both of them.

Astori found in his hotel room - died in his sleep? That's crazy. Way too young.
