Surprised to be honest. They didn't fill their East Stand allocation last time. Doubt they could win the league this early either.

St Mirren away figures this season >>>>>

    Away crowds 2017/2018 - League

    Morton 2,000
    Livingston 750
    Dunfermline 1,400
    Dumbarton 900
    Falkirk 1,100
    Dundee United 774
    Inverness 700
    Brechin 650
    Queen of the South 646
    Morton 1,770
    Dumbarton 900
    Dunfermline 778
    Livingston 1,780

    Total: 14,148
    Average: 1,088

I’d imagine they’ll bring more to Dumfries this as it’s not so close to Christmas and they’re now sitting pretty at the top of the league

Their away attendances are certainly on the way up.

Interesting that despite bringing a good following to Palmerston earlier in the season (our biggest league gate so far this season) it was also St Mirrens lowest away following of the season so far (including at Brechin and Inverness).

I remember them bringing 1500 to Palmerston during the Alex Ferguson management era in their promotion season of 1977 and thumping us 4-0. Attendance that day was 4000.

That match just before Xmas no doubt affected the away support.
