Get him a game up front. Even at 61 Luggy has to be more mobile (and more committed) than Skippy the professional Celtic pundit.

Dundee United today announced that Paul Sturrock has accepted an invitation from Manager Csaba Laszlo to become a temporary member of his coaching staff as the Club goes into a crucial period of the season.

The 61-year-old United legend who was recently appointed Chief Scout (England) will join the Terrors ahead of Saturday's ***** home league fixture versus Dunfermline.

Manager Csaba Laszlo said, "I have been working with Paul since his appointment as chief scout for England and his knowledge and passion for this Club is deeply-rooted and infectious. He has not been scared to voice his opinions and his football experience and knowledge are significant. Having him around the squad will be a great benefit over this ***** period."

Paul Sturrock said, "When Csaba phoned and asked me to consider this I didn't delay my response. I will do what I can to help this Club. I know what it means to be a player and a coach at United and I will give my all to help achieve our goal."

I just hope that the curse of the former player turned manager/coach/assistant doesn’t strike again! 😱

Luggy always talks of how much of a family club United were when he was here and it's something that a lot of other ex-players talk fondly of.

Nowadays, the players train at St Andrews and the major shareholder conducts his business in a cafe in Broughty Ferry.

Tannadice is a place where all of the organisation's employees meet up, on average, once a fortnight.

We're certainly not a family club any more.
