    Gates - more fake figures

Minutes from April’s London Stadium Safety Advisory Board (SAG) chaired by Newham Council reveal the attendance for the West Ham v Southampton game at the end of March was just 43,000 following an official attendance of 57,000 tickets sold

That was first home game after the Burnley troubles but questions have to answered as to why as many of 14,000 supporters decided not to turn up to watch the 3-0 demolition of the Saints despite having a valid ticket.

We had a big impact there!

    I’m a poor headline writer!!
Are gates meant to indicate who paid or who turned up? 14000 difference is probably a record.

There's been some dodgy gates over the years at Turf Moor as well. When you've been going on as long as I have, you can't help but get a feel for the approximate attendence, and just occasionally you know some of them are way out. To be fair not so much recently.
