Dundee United today confirmed the capture of defender Bilel Mohsni until the end of the season.

The French-born 30-year-old becomes available for selection after training with the Club over the past three weeks while awaiting international transfer clearance and is expected to be in the squad for Saturday's home match versus Dunfermline.

Manager Csaba Laszlo said, "Bilel is someone who can add aggression to our team. He will win headers in both boxes. It has been frustrating having to wait for clearance but I am happy it is now all clear."

Bilel Mohsni said, "I am delighted to be back in Scottish football. I played under Paul Sturrock down south and he was always talking about this Club to me. I know all about Dundee United. Once the Manager made the call, I knew I wanted to come to Tannadice and I want to help United win as many games as possible and achieve our goal of promotion."

This has shades of a certain midfielder last season as well! And Gunning all rolled into one.

Cool at least it would be entertaining.

I refuse to believe he is any worse than any of our current CB options. That’s how bad we are.

Almost delivering the coupe de grace with this signing, Brechin to beat us for their first and only win of the season will do it.

I'm one of the few that thought Wato had something. Yes he cost us on a couple of occasions but his frustration with some of our players who were not trying hard enough showed his passion to win. If he could have been coached to release the ball earlier he could have made a difference to us this season. Controversial maybe, just an opinion.
