Go on then, great_fire. Let's have some details of people who have been 'arrested for criticising grooming gangs'.

Northumbria police arrested people in Newcastle for criticising grooming gangs on Facebook.

According to an independent study, at least 3,395 people were arrested in 2017 over potentially "offensive online comments" by British police.

When there's far to many people to arrest for grooming, arrest the people talking about it instead and cover it up.

For anyone saying the Barcelona Declaration is *******s, it lead to the creation of the Union of the Mediterranean, a pretty secretive expansion of the EU into North Africa which has been running since 2008, ultimate aim is to create an European-African-Asian block and then a world government.

That's the issue behind these scandals though; discussions on this topic inevitably end up being race arguments, but when you look at the reports into them, the common theme behind these scandals is a tendency to blame the victim and fail to recognise abuse for what it is.

There was a thread on here a number of years about 'chavs' hanging round the bus station. It wasn't very complimentary. I'd wager that amongst those 'chavs' were kids who were caught up in the abuse. The thing is that council officials and police officers are just as capable of being judgemental and dismissive of others as users of this message board and frequently were when they encountered kids who were engaging in what they perceived to be risky behaviors.

Blaming the victim isn't good at any time. At Rotherham the root of the problem was that a group of Muslim men mostly with Pakistani origins were commiting the offences. People are going to blame these people first. After that they'll blame the aurthoritie for allowing it to happen when victims have reported it and then ignore it or blamed them.

You can easily rank the people at fault.

The people who commit the crime
The people that ignored or blamed the victim
the people who covered up or distroyed evidence

You're right of course that race or religion shouldn't be a factor in the prosicutions. However when it is found to be acceptable behaviour in the offenders communities or countries of origin the communties of the victim where they have different religions or teachings are going to blame that difference.

Thanks for that Wrinkly - GF never lets the facts get in the way of his stories.... interesting to see where he is taking his bedtime reading from though - so far we have had Squawker (the conspiracy theory website with links to the far right), and now Breitbart ("misogynistic, xenophobic and racist")... tells you all you need to know really. There's a common, and very unpleasant, theme to it all.

Great fire, do you have any self awareness that not everything you read on the internet might be true? When you present things which obviously aren't true, and you are unable to substantiate, it makes you appear a bit lacking in critical faculties.

Go on, indulge us... can you find any text of the Barcelona decleration that supports any of your claims about it? They're public documents... shouldn't be diffcult.

This last paragraph of Frogs post illustrates to me why the Multi-culturilism will never work no matter how much we are told its a wonderful thing. People from different cultures and religions have moved here and don't want to accept the way we live over here and if they won't accept accept our way of life and intergrate into our society we are always going to have big problems of this kind
