    Ashley not Austrian

Burnley striker Ashley Barnes has not been called up by Austria because he does not hold an Austrian passport.

But it seems he may soon be

I think it's a type of player we do not have up front right now, that's definitely how it is. The question will be whether this also fits in our style of play.
'Burnley play very, very much with long balls forward, where he is facing away from the opponent's goal, winning many duels.
'If you look at the videos, the goals, they're really spectacular.'

Austria would still have to complete a naturalisation process for Barnes, who does not hold a passport for the country.
'If that happens, it will definitely happen in a few weeks', added Schottel.

In training, the squad will soon learn the meaning of a Viennese Whirl when our Ash hits them!
