Totally agree with those who say investigate and react to facts.

Circumstantial evidence certainly points towards Russia but I, personally, would hate to be convicted on purely circumstantial "evidence". Even Russia deserves a fair trial.
What I find strange is why ,if it is the Russians , would they use a 'weapon' that could be so precisely traced back to them. There are plenty of ways of taking somebody out

I would love to see the hague experts decide that it wasn't made in Russia. Terry Mayhem would have an awful lot of grovelling to do

I honestly think that if she’s proved to have a) made yet another mistake or b) tried to manipulate the situation for political gain then it’s the end for her, MA.
She’s screwed up so often in her relatively short tenure that it just can’t be allowed to go on. Same goes for Johnson and Williamson too.
As both a country and a Government we have just seemed intent on shooting ourselves in the foot recently but the consequences of alienating Russia while simultaneously making ourselves a laughing stock with the rest of the World will have serious consequences.

Reading the last few posts I think y'all are getting carried away with ifs buts and maybes.

Not really...I’m saying...’if’...I’ll wait for the evidence...whatever that may be. Pity our PM, Foreign and Defence Secretaries and the Party Chairman couldn’t have done likewise. Fallon may have been guilty of ‘man behaving badly’, but I doubt he’d have been the diplomatic embarrassment his successor is proving to be.

....which in itself is an interesting point. Having seen that Thorneycroft is, to say the least, a work in progress, do you think in retrospect that Fallon's punishment fitted his crime?

No idea...can’t really remember all the details of what he was meant to have done. We seem to have done what we always do and gone from one extreme to the other.
‘Politician abuses position of power and displays lack of honesty and integrity’, shock...horror!

Agree totally!!! She should step down and Jacob Rees-Mogg should be the replacement!
