    Mark Hughes

In line for the Southampton position. That's them well and truly down now.

Yes in his other clubs it has taken a while to get organised,8 games is too short a time for him.

Any team up to Brighton could go down.
I think Watford are safe on 36 because I believe 36 is the magic number.

Mark Hughes has every opportunity to get Southampton out of relegation if he can get the players onside.

I'd say W.B.A are resigned to the drop and most likely would welcome it in a weird way.
As for the rest.....well....it's a lottery.

It's nice to be 5 points ahead of the relegation pack because it gives us a bit of breathing space.

It's all going to come down to who's got the heart, desire and the legs to coast or crawl over the line, or sink.
If we can keep the extra bit of positive mindset we've gotten used to then there's no reason why we can't actually go on a bit of a storming finish and hit a respectable 12th or dare I say it....a mental 10th.

That's a glass half full mindset and I'd like to believe this is the road we'll trek.
Just that little bit of extra balance, shows.

Mark Hughes has every opportunity to What?

He was sacked from Stoke for the state he got them in, and still are.

I can just imagine the Southampton dressing room when he tips up.

Wilf, you know absolutely nothing about football. Sorry to tell you that.

What Ghost is saying is not that off. Theoretically it's more than possible, but there are so many teams whose performance in every game will matter from now to finish that there's no telling how it will all end.

I doubt Mark Hughes is the right man though. Who knows.

West Ham are also a shambles on and off the pitch, and have some really tough fixtures and so do Palace.

Southampton are a strange one-they've got some quality players in their ranks who they spent some decent cash on-reminds me of us when we went down...the whole was actually weaker than the sum of its parts.

Hopefully 8 games isn't enough to turn it round. It wasn't for us....

I hope it's not enough to turn them around but i think it could happen.

With the state West Ham are in i could see them crashing down in to the relegation zone.

In regards Saints, i think we'll see in their next match what effect he's had.

They play West Ham next, big game for both sides.
