Shinnie and McLean work well together a bit like Logan did with McGinn. McLean has been excellent most of this season and has many footballing attributes including pace, vision, aggression, passing and striking the ball well etc ... he will be sorely missed as an individual as well as a team player!

We never really used him to his full potential. McInnes often deploying him deep in midfield when ultimately he was an attacking midfielder.
He could certainly take a penalty kick as his record shows.
The use of the 2 sitting midfield players held him back in my opinion as we should have got more from him.
He deserved the stick he got but also deserved the praise he received from the fans.
Will he be a miss?....if Del doesn’t do well in the transfer window we will end up missing a couple of players. We need a strong transfer window to lift the club and get the fans enthusiasm back to a high.

I've been a consistent fan. His form has been patchy for sure, but I thought he always enough to justify selection and when he was on it he was our best player by the length of Union Street. All in all I think he's the best player we've had at the club in recent times. His recent behaviour has also given the lie to the accusation that he had no feeling for or loyalty to the club.

I'm usually in the once they're gone they're gone camp when it comes to ex Aberdeen players but I'll watch his future career with interest.
