    Lejeuene

It seems Lejeuene is cementing his position in the defense. Always thought he was a good addition to the team, he bolsters the back four with Lascelles, had a couple of "iffy" games but has shone lately. If Slimani can start I can't help but think we will beat the drop. The present side we put out is hard to score against, but, as has been said, I'd take 17th spot right now.

Lejeune is a masterstroke of a signing and a snip in today's transfer climate.

If we can get Slimani playing regularly, I think we look really dangerous from set pieces as well.
Pretty sure I read Lejuene won the most headers in La Liga (of any defender) the season before we signed him. Thought Clark was better at the beginning of the season but Lejuene has really come back and played well. Has even been great covering for our full-backs.

I'd sooner use what we have rather than play Slimani.
Let him stay injured and play for his country.
    Work that out.

We have some solid cb I can see Rafa getting shot of Clark or mbemba unfortunately if he stays in the summer

Agreed I’ve always thought lejeune looks confertable on the ball and very classy
Next season he will be phenomenal

I still say mbemba is our best cb

I've been impressed with Lejeune as well, think him and Lascelles look very solid.

I think it'll be Mbemba that will be gone, I wouldn't have been surprised to see him leave in Jan if Rafa had been able to get players in earlier than deadline day (other than Kenedy )

If I'm honest, I think Lejeune is far too easy to knock off the ball.

He has other qualities though - good on the ball, reads the game pretty well etc. In theory, he shouldn't be hanging onto the ball anyway, he should be winning it. My main concern is his temperament - few stupid shirt tugs in the box, fouls in shooting positions (including giving away a penalty), seems to backchat the ref and opposition players.
