    Almost time for the accounts

so lets have a few guesses as to what the real underlying result will be.

    Information:
Year to 30 June 2017 is what is covered so it would include sale of Hendrick & Hughes but exclude the sale of Ince
    2016 underlying operating loss £ 27m
    2015 underlying operating loss £ 13m
4 years prior to that the figures were £ 7-8m each year
The trees lost around £ 20m in each of the last 2 years
All the above exclude the results of financial engineering by owners to write off loans etc

I trust Romanis will arrange a suitable prize!

I will kick it off by punting for £ 18.3 million loss but hey, its just plucking figures out of the air

And we haven't spent the 18m from the Hendrick, Hughes and Ince sale yet which would of seen us thrive with more complacency in front of goal and turned all those losses into 1-1 wins and anyone not taking up their position after accepting it could of been put on ignore

Ah yes, now you put it that way, we only have to produce accounts every three years and so the issue could be academic...

Given the high costs of players and other stuff, it's a miracle if a club can NOT have an operating loss in the Championship without asset stripping.
    FFP is truly a joke.
TV revenue has to increase for a start. The League should be able to negotiate a TV deal with suitable broadcasters independent of the Premiership or have a much greater slice of the pie. Forest only earned around 500k in tv revenue for 2017. It's peanuts when considered against the operating loss of 20m.

500k is good money for the dross they served up for TV audiences :-)

Perhaps but neither are Derby lately. How much does Derby make from tv revenue? I'll be surprised if it's over 1 million and that's peanuts, dross or enthralling football aside.

If I remember correctly, the home team gets 80K for a televised game and the away team 10K.

A reasonable guesstimate would be that we get televised about 14 times a season. Further guess that the games are split 50/50 home and away and the total would be 630K.
