So what is Warney holding his hands up to?

I suppose the other clubs could use the same excuse

Certainly those clubs, who unlike the Millers have played 6 or more cup games.

Dale played midweek before the NYS game and it was away from home.
I think they were just better than us in every dept

If PW thinks his players are jaded he has lots of options and opportunity to freshen up the first XI.
Due to Dale's small squad they probably don't have that luxury.

I presume his comments mean 2/3 changes at N'ton

Before the two defeats all the players were claiming to be the fittest in the league. Now after 2 defeats they are suddenly fatigued.

I think he’s trying to take the pressure off the players.
Maybe his choice of words are incorrect but he’s probably trying to deflect the criticism.

Probably better to say nothing and just get on with it instead of trying to elaborate on reasons for the defeats, just two minor hiccups along the way after a terrific run,no players go out to deliberately lose and we are good enough and have the strength in the squad to overcome these setbacks.Everybody should just calm down no need for any panic,it’s just football a funny old game as Greavsie said.

    So then:-

    We’ve got a manager that’s really a fitness coach
    We’ve got new training facilities
We’ve got rid of most of our sicknote players
We’ve got one of the best squads for years
We miss a game because of cancellation

    ...and we’re fatigued?

    FFS, get a grip.
