    Beardsley or Zola

Very similar type of player but who do you think was better? Beardsley won 2 league titles and an FA Cup with Liverpool , but didnt play abroad where as Zola won an Italian league title, two European trophies, one in England and one in Italy plus 3 domestic cups at Chelsea. At international level Beardsley played 59 times to Zola's 35. Quarter and Semis in the WC for Beardsley and Zola WC runner up.

Very tough and loved watching Beardsley just his play and unbelievable goals BUT he went missing in the 5/6 games at the end of the 95/96 season and won his trophies in the best domestic team by quite a distance. Didnt get the opportunity to play in Europe due to the ban so we'll never know if Liverpool would have won the European Cup. Zola did it in two different leagues and won 3 more trophies in what would probably be seen as inferior teams than Liverpool.
He was also (as Beardsley was) sublime and technically superb.

    I'd say on balance Zola.

Curry or a Kebab at 1am. Thats the choice here.

I'd say the curry was stronger on the ball, slightly better dribbler and had a different variety of goals in his locker. The kebab was a set piece specialist, super passer of the ball and amazingly agile. He also won some of those trophies you mention with Maradona beside him at Napoli I think (could be wrong about that though). Too close to call, both played the same position, had similar styles, composure in the box, career longevity, goals ratio and level of handsomeness.

Right now, I'd take either one as a toon number 10.

Two cracking posts. I prefer curry over kebab every day of the week. For me, Pedro did more 'stand-out', individual stuff but maybe that's just because he was our player so I saw more of him.

I still have the Pedro blue star shirt in my drawer so perhaps I am slightly biased too.

I loved Beardsley but because I played on the left wing like Waddle he was my favourite. I even remember doing the Waddle hunched shoulder walk with hands on hips when playing as a 12/13 year old. Embarrassing

    Good shout on both.

I think for me Zola on balance.

Although i prefer Beardsley as a player.

As Sclox said, i'd take either of them now.
