I see this as a shot to nothing. Must have been close to fitness to go in the first place. If he comes back with minutes under the belt, healthy and plays in the next game for us then it will have been a masterstroke. If he breaks down after 10 minutes and comes back fked...well then, thats different with questions to be asked about it.

He didn't feature in their first friendly and the hope is he won't play against Iran in the next.

Apparently we think he has an outside chance of being ready for Huddersfield game.

Slimani will be fit and ready in time for the Leicester game, only to find he can't play in that game.
Then he'll stub his toe on the bottom of his stairs or damage his knee through jumping up and down in a strop at realising he was fit but it was the wrong game to be fit for.

I'd be extremely surprised if he plays 15 minutes for us.

To be fair, if he plays 15mins, scores a goal that gets us 3 points and we stay up. . .

Yeah you can just picture it can't you.

Us needing a win to stay up and he scores the only goal and becomes an instant hero.
I'd be as happy as Larry but at the same time I'd want to have his nuts on a skewer.

I'm beginning to think we're just going to have to rely on what we've got...

Which is plenty good enough if used correctly as has been done in the last few games.
4 more points would be sufficient for us, I think. 36 for me is the safety zone.

I have a feeling it's going to be higher than folk think. Wouldn't be surprised if it's 39 points.

I agree, Rafa and the players have proven they have enough about them to keep us up. Still, it'd be nice to see Slimani.
