When Nuno was introduced as Manager, many supporters would have said who is he, what has he done? Well we all know now that the man appears to know what he is doing! He cleared out most of the backroom staff, prefering to replace them with his own tried and trusted personel.

If you watch the pre match warm up it is totally different to what we have witnessed in the past. The ten outfield players come out together, warm up together, and use a different warm up routine. Even after half time they go through another brief routine before taking to the pitch. This I feel sure is one of the reasons why we have had so few serious injuries this season.

Nuno welcomed new players to pre season and blended them into a Championship title chasing squad. He mixed existing players with the new, whilst allowing a couple of free transfers to infiltrate the squad. A squad that is playing the best football that has been seen at Molineux for many many years.

But to me the one master stroke he pulled was having the vision to see Conor Cody as a centre half. He arrived as a midfielder, and showed his versatility with some decent performances at full back. Conor has been immense this season, both in his role as captain, and as a defender. He reads the game well, mops up like a sweeper and has the skill and ability to spray forty and fifty yard passes with unbelivable accuracy. Almost on a par with Nevis. Yes he has the mighty Boly on one side and Bennett on the other but in my eyes he must be the most improved player at the club.

Nuno playing Conor as a centre back really was a master stroke.
