    Championshiip

As talk about promotion goes on which players will be able to step up. From our present squad including loanees.

    Rodak - yes
    Emmanual - no
    Mattock - no
    Vaulks - yes
    Ajayi - hmmmmmm no
    Wood - no
    Ihiekwe -yes
    Cummins - no
    Forde - no
    Palmer - yes
    Taylor - yes
    Ball - yes
    Potter - yes
    Towell - yes
    Purrington - no
    Newell - yes
    Williams - no
    Proctor - yes
    Smith - yes
    Yates - no

If we gained promotion I think we would need at least 7 championship quality players.
    Tough task ahead

Big investment would be needed. I’ve got season tickets for Millers and Leeds Utd. Leeds have struggled this season and have spent a fair few millions on players. This is he issue with us and the Championship. I don’t think we have a prayer of surviving the Championship where massive amounts are now being invested or gambled. In effect we would be in a mini league of say 4/5 teams that’s all.

    Here goes :-

    Rodak - yes
    Emmanual - no
    Mattock - no
    Vaulks - no
    Ajayi - no
    Wood - no
    Ihiekwe - no
    Cummins - no
    Forde - no
    Palmer - ?
    Taylor - no
    Ball - no
    Potter - no
    Towell - yes
    Purrington - no
    Newell - no
    Williams - no
    Proctor - no
    Smith - no
    Yates - no

    Just my opinion

    With reasons
    Rodak - yes
Emmanual – no. Overweight. Too slow for C’hip
Mattock – no. Been tried before. Not the best defender.
Vaulks – Yes. He’s improved a lot since last time
Ajayi – Yes. He was good in C’hip
    Wood – no
Ihiekwe – no. Can’t get in div 1 team. Error prone
    Cummins - no
Forde – no. Been there before & didn’t do it
Palmer – Yes. Proven with Burton
Taylor – no. Runs around a lot with no end product
Ball – Yes. Enough guile. Intelligent footballer
Potter – yes but perhaps a tad old
    Towell - yes
Purrington – yes. He can defend and that’s what we need in C’ship. Think Cayton made this point a few weeks ago. I agree
    Newell – Yes. Squad player
Williams – yes. Proven with Barnsley when not injured. He’s got over his injury probs
Proctor –Not seen enough of him
Smith – maybe so squad player. If Revs did it then why not Smith
    Yates - no

Millertop take your rose tinted glasses off and look carefully at post number 4, that is reality, or very close to it.

Looking at all the replies there a good nucleus there to build on, apart from Peters 2! Really?

Surely the best option would be keeping most of the side together this time? The Championship is still an awful standard and it's more about having an hardworking side, something which we already have.

I was speaking to a bluntie work colleague today and he said the top of C'ship are light years ahead of the rest in terms of quality.
He specifically mentioned Wolves, Fulham, Derby
