What you say is absolutely right and has appeared to be the policy of many owners over the years. We are still in the first season with Radz in charge and I am hoping, yes hoping, that he breaks the mould when it comes to transfers and the direction of the club.

Whether you agree or not on the quality of the transfers, at least Radz did put up funds or if you prefer used a budget via wheeling and dealing to sign up over £20 million "worth" of players which is the biggest player investment we have had I think since we were relegated from thew top flight.

Radz also extended the contracts of many of the better players from last season, which is also positive, just a shame they have been mediocre this term.

I really think this summers transfer window will tell us more about what type of Owner we have than anything he has done to date. I would be very happy if we kept the better players ( unless stupid money offers came in) and sold off the garbage, whilst recruiting a few quality players.

I would be very happy to hear that Radz has given a £10- £15 million budget to Hecky and Orta and just tells them to wheel and deal as long as the wage budget isn't broken.

yeah , but thats the problem , the wage budget does not allow this club to compete for the better players , neither does it enable us to keep the better players that are already at the club . the structure in place only allows us to get players that are average at best , the squad is already full of that type of player now, and many need moving on , if we are ever going to produce a team capable of promotion .

radrizaanis outlay this season consists of bringing fif**** players here, most of which are not good enough, the money spent should have been spent, on bringing far fewer players here , but of a far higher quality , that is what was needed last season before monk left in the summer .

we now have a situation, where three quarters of the team needs replacing, and the 10-15 million budget you refer to , will be nowhere near enough

then how come we have Jannson, Saiz, Alioski and Hernandez? oh, I guess you will now say they are useless or will conveniently sidestep that. Were you part of the propaganda team for the Brexit Leave campaign?

Spent the afternoon in Leeds city centre today on a family birthday occasion, the city is vibrant, couldn't believe how full the pubs and resteraunts were. We are the biggest financial centre outside of London and after visiting Southampton ( it's a dump )last year can't believe that they are in the top flight and we are languishing where we are. Why do big investors chose the likes of Southampton, Wolves etc and pass us by. If we ever get the investment required to lift us out of the Championship ER would have to be expanded to cope with the demand. Not wishing to disrespect others we will always be a bigger club than Bournemouth, Huddersfield, Burnley, Crystal Palace, Stoke, West Brom and many more we just need an investor to take a leap of faith and get us back to where we belong.

Jansson was brought in by Cellino, so of 15 players brought in, even you can't find more than 3 who are of any value (I'd agree with all three by the way).

Interesting that Marleys post is both grammatically correct and without spelling mistakes, as well as hitting every nail in the head.

It's a mystery, as you say, but the truth is there.for all to see, we have been cursed with inadequate and incompetent owners since Mr Silver relinquished his hold, not sure it will ever change.

This is a decent fair point Mick - Why are we bypassed ................

Leeds is thriving and being based in central mainland Europe I'll second your observation as I've visited most large cities of late crossing various borders.

Regarding Leeds possible take overs and the lure of its city - All interested parties employ a top commercial Lawyer who will get right under the bones of a club to find those hidden skeletons, the reason being to structure a deal that will depend on one thing - the definition of value.

Every club is up for sale today,so a club that owns its stadium, training complex (which are up to date) will be of interest and if there is surrounding land to redevelop all the better but often the clincher will be geographical and location pull.

A while back investors had a look at Leeds,Villa and WBA with Villa getting the nod as they satisfied all above criteria with the best assets please note and the best planning permission for surrounding land - all at the right price. Our crumbling stadium, poor staffing across the boards and DEBT was a no no then.

Criteria that LEEDS UNITED could not offer until NOW.

Now we can/should kick on as investment is in place and should increase as per agreements already in place - how long we'll see.

Really glad you enjoyed your day in Leeds and hopefully you'll enjoy the team in the not so distant future too.

    ALAW-MOT
