Yes they’re going up automatic, just too good.

Let’s hope we can get lucky, get to Wembley and get promoted again.

Connor Newton (remember him?) scored for Hartlepool.
    Barrow 1-1 Hartlepool
1-2 now good goal by Magnay

On a bit of a roll at the minute pal. Still well up since winning the £600+ the other week. Just playing with their money so everything good so far. Not being silly placing a ton tonight, just couldn't see Wigan losing this one. Bugger them I'll hang on for the rest.

Wigan and Blackburn have, in effect, "bought" promotion, similar to what Blackburn previously did with the Premiership title . Difficult for other teams in the division to cope with the firepower. Shrews may be able to grind out results, but they can't cope with that. Neither can we.

Connor Newton was a good player, but just too injury prone for a career at higher levels. He never had much luck - I remember him hitting the post at the Valley with a long range thunderbolt, that seemed to swerve away at the last millisecond - I could hardly believe that it hadn't gone in. If it hadn't been for the injuries, he would have achieved a lot more in his career .

Tony Stewart has made us very proud and I thank god for small mercies.

    Do Blackburn still owe millions?

Wigan, thanks to Uncle Dave don't deserve to be in League 1. Good luck to them and yes money can buy success.

If we finish 4th or 5th and get to the final the probability is that we would play the 3rd placed team in the final.

Trying to look at the situation logically.... I've seen us play Blackburn home and away, I've seen several Wigan games on tv... Wigan's cup run doesn't seem to have tired them out. I'd rather try to take our chance against Shrews, etc in the play-offs than those two.
So unless something goes drastically wrong, it will be between us, Shrews plus two more in the play-offs
