aggressive......stop trying to "manage the clock" Nolo and a quick tip, if you are winning 1~0, try and score another!!......it aint ****ing rocket science

Our squad is not good enough for L1 - if it was, we would not be dropping all these points against so-called 'poorer teams'. Perhaps it would be better to go for promotion next year after we have improved the squad. Don't want to get promoted just to get relegated after one season in L1. Sometimes, its best to be a big fish in a small pond!

I see what you say but I still think the issue is we should have improved the squad enough in January to get us promoted from a position of strength. We could have a crap season next year, we've been there, done that!! Don't refuse a lift in an Escort because you think a Roller MAY come along soon!

Absolutely. Let's not look a gift horse in the mouth. We have got ourselves in a fantastic position and to be in with a shout of automatic promotion and the play-offs going into Easter makes a refreshing change after a number of years of decline from when we finished just outside the league one play-offs under Keith Curle.

Well said...it made no sense to pick up two new midfielders, when we already had an apparently £100k Nobsa ready to start.....AND we are screaming out for a pacy, not pacemaker!!, centre forward....my prediction is that we end up in the play~offs if we do not hammer Chessy.......the play~offs are a lottery, great for the pocket of BigAL.....BUT NOT FOR MY TICKER......GRRR

I assume that people with a lot more spare cash than me, have figured this out ie this squad will come straight back down......but, they will look at the summer as a way of balancing the books and buying one or two quality players.....we are crying out for a striker and a decent replacement in midfield if Nobsa or Hewey are injured.....a back four of Toots, Bris, Duffers~Hall and Jones is fine....goalie not a problem though I think Fitz needs to start......our problem is the attack.....we are fine for 60 minutes, after that we are gasping for air, with nobody on the bench that knows where the onion~bag is located

Face facts! The most likely outcome is the playoffs with a 4-1 chance of promotion.
Fans of most other teams in the top 9 could point to where their team has slipped up or not brought home the bacon. The only club that has timed its run in to near perfection is the Stanley.
Another thing that many are forgetting on this fred is that, as the season closes in, the pressure will get to all teams - even Luton. The 'must win' games are a regular occurrence from hereon so a number of unexpected results are likely. (For example, I wouldn't be surprised if Notts lose to Chessie then come home from Accrington with all 3 points).
From hereon it's going to be more like a cup tie atmosphere than the humdrum of league football.
And who wants to go up only to spend next season flirting with relegation? A lot of money will need to be spent and good judgement applied in order to survive League 1.

Forgive me for being picky, but the average chance of promotion for play off teams is 3/1 rather than 4/1.

If you see a bookie offering 4/1 about all four teams give me a shout!

Think you will find most of this squad are out of contract this summer. So it will be re build again.Every fecking year we do this.
To be honest KN has fecked it up with his tactics.I see KN & AH playing going up this season down a bit. They screwed up big time not getting another forward in.Christ they knew from August we needed another.
I really do think we will blow it,even the playoffs. We are slipping as the season goes on,which is a shame when you consider the position we were in.

We had the January transfer window where we could have bought - see that? BOUGHT! - one or two quality players but we went for free transfers and look how tepid that turned out. It was an amateurish shambles and I don’t expect anything different in the close season, no matter which league we are in.
