    Charles Sutcliffe - more information

He made his Rotherham County debut against South Shields, conceding four goals, but County still managed to win the game 5-4. Whilst at Leeds City he always smoked a pipe prior to kick-off to calm his nerves!

    Found another one...

Rotherham Town right-back Harry Thickett later won the FA cup twice with Sheffield Utd -
    1899 v Derby County (4-1)
    1902 v Southampton (1-1, 2-1 in replay)
Not at Wembley though - all those games were at Crystal Palace

    Anyone mentioned Tony Grealish yet?

    EDIT: Runner Up.

Norman Hunter won as well if I cheat and bring managers in.

    Looks like 8 then:-

    Jody Morris (Chelsea)
    Emlyn Hughes (Liverpool)
Dave Watson and Vic Halom (Sunderland)
    Len White (Newcastle)
    Bill Myerscough (Aston Villa)
    Charles Sutcliffe (Sheff Utd)
Harry Thickett (Sheff Utd) - didn't climb the Wembley steps but still won the FA Cup twice.

Got another one - Scott Minto (Chelsea)
    2-0 v M'boro' (1997) at Wembley
Not the same game as Jody Morris, which was in 2000

    ... and another one...

Harry Pantling played as right-half for Rotherham United in 1926-7 season (Division 3N) after appearing in the Sheffield United 1925 FA Cup winning team ( with Charlie Sutcliffe)
    We're into double figures...

    ...and what about Philip Bratley

FA Cup winner with Barnsley (1912) against WBA. Played at centre-half.
0-0 at Crystal Palace, replay 1-0 at Bramhall Lane
Played as LB/RB for Rotherham County 1919/21. He'd had a previous spell with County when they were not in the Football League

Well done Mike, appropriate as it was the reported theft of a Barnsley FA Cup medal that was the inspiration for this thread.

So we now have a full eleven.

Morris will have to do most of the running for the older lads in mid-field. And tell the keeper not to pick any back passes up.
