Steven McLean is the referee at Palmerston this weekend.
The last Livvy game at Palmerston was an example by the away side of how to effectively shut us down by pressing us as soon as Queens had the ball and outworking us. Obviously a tactic that is serving them well and they are having a very impressive season, especially when you consider bigger teams they are above. Well, knowing this , how do we cope with that ? For one , I would suggest that we mix up our play far more than we do with Dobbie playing. We look for him all the time and teams KNOW this . If Dobbie plays , let's look for other outlets as well as Stephen and give our opponents more problems.

Last time out against Livingston we were out muscled by a physical, very direct but equally effective team that played route one football. I recall a miserable looking Dobbie frustratingly watching the ball being battered sailing over him on a regular basis. We need to play this lot on the ground and move them around much to their discomfort getting behind them as often as we can.
And the first player on the team sheet should be Big Rooney, - followed by Big Fergusson up front.
Fight fire with fire, - let Ferggy and Rooney loosen their defensive wall before sending on Dobbie.
Totally agree with Spike though, - keep the ball on the deck as the last time the high ball was chicken feed for the Livi defence.
Weather looks promising for tomorrow, - so no excuse for the malingerers, - get yersel' oot o' the hoose and alang tae Palmy!
With the useful addition of Todd and the return of wee Danny, hopefully Dobbie too, Naysmith has a bit of a selection issue today against the Lions. Hopefully he will go with an attacking mobile line up to get in and around their defence by passing the ball on the ground. The airial assault last time fell neatly into Livi's hands and we were thoroughly gubbed. Hopefully the lesson will have been learnt and we need to see some of that away form at Palmerston to allay the doubters. Mon the South.
Beautiful day this morning. Hopefully a few more will be encouraged back to Palmerston.
Optimistic for a much needed home win and performance
Looking forward to it and I am still buzzing from Tuesday night so hopefully the lads can kick on from that win for our play off push.
Also let's improve this home form and get another 3 points on the board.
Come on Queens!
Two nil up then Livi pulled one back with a goal from a free - kick (the third time this week the goalie / defensive wall looked all at sea). The Lions went ahead 3 - 2 after some unbelievable poor defending and although we scraped a draw
this was another mega disappointing home performance - crap crowd also despite a beautiful day.
