It's all very well Dicko wanting to stuff some of the more critical supporters (or words to that effect) by proving them wrong; well you had yet another chance today. We've watched this predictable rubbish for week after week. It's time Nolo had good talk to himself about what it takes to pass the ball effectively - long and short - and don't let the players off the hook until they get it, even if they practise until midnight; ie. want the ball more than the opposition; run faster than the opposition where reasonably possible; actually control the ball; deliver the ball to the intended player.
I hope you Duffy-lovers are happy. I've refrained from comment in recent weeks and he has had some competent games (not those of the glorious leader some would have you believe) where he has actually headed the ball now and again; and not too many cheating dives, as is his misguided want. It's now time to see if Nolo has the guts to drop him, Collin and Dickinson; play Fitzsimons and Hall with Brisley. You and your players are well and truly in the last chance saloon, Mr N. We all want you and the players to succeed and will support you to the end but you need to show some balls and do the right thing. Oh, that is IMHO ...

    Take note Mr Nolan lol.

The biggest problem in trying to look at this with a sensible perspective is that this is Notts County we're talking about. Typical progress at other clubs would be making the play-offs one year, promoted the next, but at Notts we seem to do everything in wild contrasts.

You'd have to go back to 1972-1973 for the last time Notts got promoted after bottling it the season before. Since then, promotions have always followed a poor season prior battling against the drop, aside from the Warnock double of course.
The Munto and Allardyce promotions both followed absolutely disastrous campaigns the year before and even if you look at going into the top flight under Sirrel and Wilkinson in 1980/81, they didn't win a single home game after mid-October in 1979/80.

This season most closely resembles Barnwell's 1987/88 campaign and Murphy's 1995/96 in which we looked like auto contenders for long periods but ended up having to settle for the play-offs and then missed out. Both managers were sacked mid-way through the following campaign. You've also got Mick Walker beating Fword, Derby and Leicester, seriously challenging for the Premier League and he was sacked the following September. So going by own history, should it continue to repeat itself, Nolan - short of having a Warnock-like winning streak from here until May - will be sacked before Xmas. A depressing thought but I really wouldn't be surprised if that's how it pans out, sadly. It's just Notts all over.

Oh please! Don't start with the "real fan" stuff again. So nobody is allowed to express disappointment or voice any criticism without being relegated to the not "real fans" section. It's beyond ridiculous! Why do some of you suppress any questionning of the team in this way? Of course we are behind the team, but today was shocking and saying that doesn' t make us "bed wetters".

The people at the top of the club need to decide what it is they really want the club to achieve. For example they had a top 6 budget this season so that should be the expectation however I get the impression some people weren't bothered about promotion this season, if that's the case then expectations should be altered accordingly, this is the 3rd season in the pub league and it's an awful standard, surely promotion should be the target- or should it.

So do Accrington Exeter & Wycombe.Coventrys won't be great either.Every club starts the season aiming for promotion.Whats the point otherwise. We have been on a downward spiral since Xmas. There is no pace in the team,we have been crying out for another striker since the summer.
Consolidation hey?You think in the summer another squad to build(most out of contract)will need games to gel,who knows what will happen, but to think this is a consolidation season for a push next, don't be fooled, can easily be a relegation battle again. This team isn't playing like one you would expect to see near the top.
We had the chance to push on in Jan & blew it,wasn't as if the transfer market opened out of the blue. A DoF may be needed for the two inexperienced cos I don't think we will even make the playoffs.

We have twice the budget of Accrington who are league leaders.
