O/T Titans possibly going out of business

Now confirmed as if it needed confirming that they've been relegated and now have to decide whether to carry on as an amateur club.

Other clubs in this position have packed in.

Remember the glory days in the top flight, playing at Millmoor, Millers were doing well at the time as well I believe in the Championship.

Rugby Union is not a Northern sport .With exceptions of big clubs Like Newcastle and Leeds . Never had decent crowds and the financial clout was never there to get the better players . Now that money is been pumped into it it will end up a closed shop like the Premier is in football. Rich clubs getting bigger and the smaller ones going to the wall. Womens football will end up like that as well soon. Never has any interest in the Titans anyways even when they made it to the top division .

Always had a soft spot for them. Mike Umaga played and coached, I worked with his cousin here in Wellington. He came back to visit with his kids having yorkshire accents. Shame if they go out of business.

Went to see the Titans play occasionally during the Mike Umaga days. He is a Titans legend, and rightly so.

Punched well above their weight and the RFU didn't really want them, remember the world cup being paraded around Millmoor but once their benefactor pulled out it was doomed without investment, but thanks for the memories if they go under. What they achieved to get into the top flight twice was unbelievable.
