Interesting that you say that about a Labour Prime Minister who served for over 10 years and is, in fact, the second longest serving PM since 1827!
Surely, he must have been excellent to serve in that capacity for so long---surely he was really good for the country and looked after our interests otherwise he would have been voted out ---wouldn't he?
I ask because I live in an area where you could put a monkey up as Labour candidate and it would get in.
Blair must have been good because he was backed by Labour supporters for over 10 years and many were very sad to see him hand over the reins to Gordon Brown.
    Have I missed something here?

    You tease!
The country was missing billions, our gold reserves depleted and sold at the worst time, the Iraq war, falls in home ownership, no change in social housing but a rise in private renting.
    His legacy

Since Givernment his role has been to rake it in and buy properties, make a failure of being a Middle East peace envoy charge 6 figures for speaking. An ideal socialist in some eyes! Did he really support Burnley?

The story of how the hospital coped with the Skripals is on Newsnight tonight.

The testimonies of the medical staff highlight the vit-al (the full word goes to *****] importance of the decisions made at key times: the speedy arrival in intensive care, the heavy sedation used to limit possible brain damage, and the importance of advice, tests and treatments suggested by the Porton Down experts.

Dr Stephen Jukes, an intensive care consultant at the hospital, said: "When we first were aware this was a nerve agent, we were expecting them not to survive.
"We would try all our therapies. We would ensure the best clinical care. But all the evidence was there that they would not survive."

He had to, or Campbell would have refused to wipe his arse for him.

I'm not really sure why the BBC are making such a big story about this, there are doctors and nurses performing minor miracles in our hospitals all the time, almost exclusively they go about their work unobtrusively, not headlining BBC news broadcasts and Newsnight.

You're our resident media expert OC, what's going on here ?

You're our resident political expert BT, what's going on here ?

I’m no media expert, just a watcher Sinkov. I suppose people are interested in what happened to the Skripals and folk like BT can see how their conspiracy theories stack up against reality of lots of different staff telling the same story.
There are of course lots of other programmes you can watch to see Medical heroics on ordinary people in A&E, obstetrics, ambulances, or watch Holby or Casualty or ER or.....
Newsnight is politics and this is a political story.

We are being played sinkov. Gaslighted yet again by a deceitful, disingenuous government.

The Tories can't beat old Roman though, he is now an Israeli citizen and does not need a visa to come and watch his team on the odd Saturday in London.

I never knew he was Jewish!

No it isn’t - it’s a combination of choosing a poor route of administration - skin absorption is not a good choice it’s slow and incomplete, the fact they were outside so spotted early and taken to hospital quickly, the police told doctors quickly he was a spy so they changed their original diagnosis and Porton Down gave them good advice which prevented the drug from being as effective as it might on the brain. The doctors were pioneering and performed a World first which may lead to a re-evaluation of the use on these agents.
Had they been sprayed in the face or even stayed in for a meal they would have died - no doubt.
