Dilemma.... To grass or not to grass

My wife and I were tesco yesterday and I heard 2 girls about 14 years old debating in whose bag they were going to put some wraps they intended to steal.

I wanted to grass to the security guard and my wife said it's not your job, nor business.

Personally, I don't prescribe to this and wish I had said something, but we were in a rush.

I have seen homeless people steal from sandwiches before from these tesco expresses before but felt sorry for them so have done nothing.

But, yesterday was different, and I feel I should have spoken up.

    What would you have done?

As my mate Edmund Burke once said "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil to prosper is that good men do nothing". Answers obvious innit!

I have reported 2 incidents at the same tesco before to a security guard and on one occasion they could not care less and on the second he said if I don't see it happen, I can't do anything.

I asked him what was the cctv was for then and he mumbled some b ollox.

The problem is they are agency security guards who don't give a s hit, so why should I anymore.
