From the Queens Loyal page -

Dundee United at home is Derek Lyles final ever home game as a player at Palmerston.

I was thinking we could possibly all come up with an idea to give him a sendoff. Had a few fans message me with suggestions. Possibly a minutes applause in the 9th minute or trying to get the whole group to chant a song of his.
If you have any possible suggestions please say below.

Has Derek Lyle been told he is leaving? With his fitness, ability and desire, would he not be worth another contract? He is still much better than most strikers outside the top division and well worth another season.

Would he add some much needed spark if he was assistant to Naysmith? I certainly cannot imagine Del Boy standing idly by (as our management team did on Saturday) while the entire squad seemed to stroll about the park like a bunch of dis-interested school-children, rather than the full time professionals which they are.

Some things have got to change at Palmerston, and we will only entice people to come and watch if they feel that it is worth their time and money to do so.

Flogging a dead horse is a pointless exercise and now that this season is over in terms of a 4th placed finish, - we must start building for the next one, 2018/19 the start of our double-header Centenary season.

Hasn't been told but said before the start of the season with all the Testimonial goings on that this would be his last season, although I'm inclined to still hope he stays on in done capacity at the club? Striker coach and still registered as a player, as he still has the desire to play I'm sure?

You have to be kidding?!?. It's already been a season too far maybe even two!

He's been a loyal servent and will always be a Queens legend but it's more than time.

Very much doubt he’s actually seen him play this season
