    West Brom safe standing rejected

    Have had their proposal to turn 3,600 seats at the Smethwick end into 'rail seats' which can be locked in the upright position for fans to stand has been rejected by the government.

    What? Shrewsbury were given the go ahead and could be playing in the same division as West Brom next season.

    I'm sure the respective bids of West Brom and Shrewsbury were considered on their merits, but you have a point. The "powers that be" won't take any risks.
