Neither of those two get abuse from me.
Ryan Christie is a very good player albeit been average lately.
Kenny McLean won’t be fully appreciated until he’s gone.
Gauld would be a definite downgrade on those two.
An even bigger downgrade is a player I think we will go for... Ali Crawford....

    Interesting.
    Loose change to us, eh?
Can I ask, where’s this £500k coming from?
We've always (in recent years) been willing to outlay on transfers, especially if there is an opportunity to get a return.
Not loose change, but an investment opportunity (like McLean).
We payed out for GMS, May, McLean, Arnuson in recent years.
We put in bids for Moult and contemplated moving for Cadden before IIRC.

It's just a hypothetical question, how much do you think it would take and would we be willing to make that investment offer?

Not necessarily you but they get abuse so if we sign someone who is a downgrade on them that guy is gonna get a lot of grief.

Joking aside he could probably still play at our level,I would have thought he will end up in China.

The kind of folk that slag them off are maybe the types that praise Considine.
    You know... clueless types.

We did spend what we took in for Hayes last summer.
As you suggested earlier we’d spend money IF we sold a player for good money (the obvious candidate being Scott McKenna.

I think the £500k you mentioned for Cadden is what Motherwell would be likely to look for.
    Whether he’s worth that I don’t know.
And even if Scott McKenna gets sold I don’t think we’d pay £500k for anyone.

Yes and part of that was £400k for May.

What about the £500k we got for McLean?
